I joined Vandoros following their 2019 re-brand. This gave me the exciting opportunity to re-invent their photography style and catalogue layout and allowed me to assist in designing and prototyping new packaging concepts for their ever-growing range.
We prototyped and redesigned the entire retail range following feedback from retailers
Previously all 2m lengths of ribbons were sold as ‘hangs’. The packaging consisted of a hang card and a 50cm drop of ribbon. As most retailers used a slatted wall system, where each slat is 10cm in height, a single ribbon hang took the height of 6 slats.
We created a packaging solution that was18 cm tall, allowing for 3 times the amount of ribbons to be displayed in the same space.
To ensure the ribbon remained taught and the range looked consistent we created a solid card frame with 3 cut out sections, allowing the folded ribbon to be slot inside and held tight.
